This will affect 48.34 lakh central government employees and 65.26 lakh pensioners.

The Government of Gujarat has given Diwali gifts to government employees. The state government has increased the dearness allowance of government employees. The difference of 6 months dearness allowance will be paid.
This evening, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel held a press conference and gave a big Diwali gift to government employees. Nitin Patel said that government employees are standing firm in the Koro epidemic. The festivities are starting a few days later. The state government has then decided that the difference in the 6-month inflation allowance will be paid to government employees.
DyCM Nitin Patel further said that the deferred dearness allowance of government employees will be paid by the government and the difference of 6 months dearness allowance will be paid. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the decision was taken as the revenue of the state government was increasing. In which one instalment of three months amount will be paid. And the state government will pay Rs 464 crore for this, followed by three months
Also, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to spend Rs 787 crore behind the Katosan, Bahucharaji and Chamasmani railway lines in North Gujarat. This line is currently a meter gauge line, which will now be converted to a broad gauge line.
